On the afternoon of August 16, “First National Elevator Maintenance Techniques Finals” was inaugurated in Changshu Institute of Technology. 40 delegations and 130 contestants from Schindler, Otis, Thyssen, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Fujitec, SJEC, Henan Xiandai Elevator and other leading elevator companies, local powerful companies, Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic and other colleges that set up the major of elevator participated in the two-day competition.
Division Chief of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China He Yi, Director General of China Elevator Associaiton Li Shoulin,, Deputy Director of Occupational Skill Testing Authority of Machinery Industry Shi Zhongguang, Director of Occupational Skill Testing Authority of Machinery Industry—Branch Center of Elevator Industry Li Zhengjian, Deputy Mayor of People’s Government of Changshu city Chen Huiliang, Vice President of Changshu Institute of Technology Chen Jianhua and other leaders attend the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, attendees include senior industry experts from all over China, around twenty contest judges from national special equipments system, experts from the First National Elevator Maintenance Techniques Contest technical committee and members of competition office.
Our young students, who keep calm and relaxed and bring into full play, not only win Excellent Group Award and Outstanding Individual Award, get the only “Rising Star Award of Techniques” and the first and second prize of college students, but also gain praises from the contest and win honors for Elevator College. Moreover, Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic established its position and expanded its influence in national elevator industry and professional training.
